Week 64, Transfer 10  Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward & Spanish group!!!) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Highlights: 2 of our friends accepted baptismal dates this week!!! Manuel and Joana!! Please pray for Manuel that he will be able to change his work around to be able to come to church consistently on Sundays!! Joana is getting baptized on her 15th birthday (unless we can move her date up :). All the cute abuelitas in the Spanish group are planning a huge fiesta for her to celebrate both her baptism and her birthday (a fiesta in heaven and on earth ;). She is SO prepared. She has gone through so much to get here. Please pray for Joana that she will continue to have strength and that all will continue to go well leading to her baptism! Week 63, Transfer 10 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward & Spanish group!!!) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Highlights One of my mission bucket list items is to ask someone straight up if they want to quit smoking. This week we were visiting w one of our friends. Her boyfriend is always outside smoking every time we visit her. Before we left, he was putting out his cigarette and I told him I had a question he probably wasn't going to like — "Do you want to quit smoking?" He said, "that's an easy answer. Yes." We have an appointment on Tuesday :) One of our Zone Leaders saw that we had 7 lessons scheduled one day this week and challenged us to get members to 5 of those lessons (he did give us the incentive of a free lunch too, so that was a plus). Week 62, Transfer 10 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward & Spanish group!!!) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Highlights Happy Mother's Day to all the moms and women out there!! Shoutout to my mom - she's the most amazing mom!! I love you!! Our friend Edwin accepted a baptismal date!!! Then his mom kind of got in his head... please pray for him!! Met with our friend who speaks Punjabi and had a member call in to translate. Cool because I could lowkey understand some of the general idea of what he was saying even though I absolutely do not speak Punjabi at all. Gift of tongues is 1000% real! The Elders and Hermano Juan came to give a blessing to our friend Donmetila. Juan shared some cool things before the blessing too, that I think she needed to hear! Lots of canceled lessons and missed contacts, but we met some cool people and tried our best to do our best. Keep being awesome and remember Jesus loves YOU!
