5 Lessons With Members?!!?!

Week 63, Transfer 10
Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward & Spanish group!!!)
Compañera: Hermana Griffin

Highlights
One of my mission bucket list items is to ask someone straight up if they want to quit smoking. This week we were visiting w one of our friends. Her boyfriend is always outside smoking every time we visit her. Before we left, he was putting out his cigarette and I told him I had a question he probably wasn't going to like — "Do you want to quit smoking?" He said, "that's an easy answer. Yes." We have an appointment on Tuesday :)

One of our Zone Leaders saw that we had 7 lessons scheduled one day this week and challenged us to get members to 5 of those lessons (he did give us the incentive of a free lunch too, so that was a plus).

There are 4 things about Spanish work & members at lessons in this mission that you must understand first to understand why this was insane:

Only like 2 of said lesson were confirmed. We just had high... high hopes and many, many prayers for the rest haha.

We've been getting 5 or fewer lessons with members per WEEK in this area recently, so this was gonna be fun!

We have approximately 5 members who can come to lessons in the first place (not actually, but everyone else either works, doesn't speak Spanish, was out of town, or never responds).

To get more than 2 or 3 members at lessons a week in our mission, even in English work for some reason is something of a feat... don't ask me how.

Miracle after miracle after miracle happened and at 9 p.m. on the dot, we finished our 5th and last lesson with a member of the day. OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!!

I LOVE you, and God loves you even more! Keep being awesome!
