Week 72, Transfer 11 Area: Chico Bidwell Spanish Branch Compañeras: Hermana Smith and Hermana Hinton Highlights!!! Met with our friend Julia! Her nephew's sons are some of our new members (they're like 11 and 13 and they are AMAZING!!!), so she's been taught on and off while they've been taught for the past couple of months. The first time we met her, she told us of this profound desire she has to find the truth. Hardcore testified that if she continues on, she WILL find the truth. This lesson (technically our 2nd lesson with her), we taught her the Restoration, showed her the "Ask of God" video about Joseph Smith's First Vision, and she got so emotional, and we extended a baptismal date! Almost jokingly, my companion Hna Smith told her, "You could get baptized on your birthday!" and Julia was like, "Honestly, yeah, let's do it!" Then she told us she wants to get baptized on a Sunday, so we set her on date for like 2 weeks out. We g...

Week 71, Transfer 11 Area: Chico Bidwell Spanish Branch Compañeras: Hermana Smith and Hermana Hinton Highlights!!! Went to the temple this past Saturday!!! I've missed being there! There's an undeniable peace the second you step inside, but there's an even more undeniable peace when you walk into the celestial room. It's as if the whole world stops and it's just you and God for a few minutes. It's approximately 4000 degrees here, but we're thriving. We went to Costco for pday today and it was SO FUN! I got protein powder. Went to the park with our super fun member Julio!! He made a surprise picnic. We also met a lady at the park there who had just lost a friend, and we were able to testify of the plan of salvation with our member. It was super cool! Went to a drive-in burger place for dinner one night, and while we were there the English elders called us to translate for a lady they just met!! She ended up wanting a Book of Mormon, so hopefully we can get in...

Week 70, Transfer 11 Area: Chico Bidwell Spanish Branch Compañeras: Hermana Smith and Hermana Hinton I honestly forgot to send an email last week, so now you're getting 2 weeks worth of an update haha. Last week's updates: After an AWESOME week and a half together, Hermana Morgan finished her mission on Friday and is now home. So I was part of an Emergency Transfer for the first time and I'm now in a trio with the hermanas that were in Corning (where I started my mission!!). They closed the Corning area and joined me down in Chico!! We've been grinding and figuring everything out! Got a referral from the Elders and ended up finding 3 new people in the same apartment complex when we went to go visit her!! Also got a return appointment with said referral where she will be teaching us how to make mole and we will be sharing a message about Jesus Christ! I can't say that's exactly a "fair" trade because a message about Jesus is far better than even the bes...
