The Field Is WHITE!!! Already To Harvest!!!!

Week 72, Transfer 11
Area: Chico Bidwell Spanish Branch
Compañeras: Hermana Smith and Hermana Hinton

Highlights!!!

Met with our friend Julia! Her nephew's sons are some of our new members (they're like 11 and 13 and they are AMAZING!!!), so she's been taught on and off while they've been taught for the past couple of months. The first time we met her, she told us of this profound desire she has to find the truth. Hardcore testified that if she continues on, she WILL find the truth. This lesson (technically our 2nd lesson with her), we taught her the Restoration, showed her the "Ask of God" video about Joseph Smith's First Vision, and she got so emotional, and we extended a baptismal date! Almost jokingly, my companion Hna Smith told her, "You could get baptized on your birthday!" and Julia was like, "Honestly, yeah, let's do it!" Then she told us she wants to get baptized on a Sunday, so we set her on date for like 2 weeks out. We gave her her own copy of the Book of Mormon and she was so happy! We took a picture together at the end and gave her one of our Libros to hold, and she was like, "No, I'd rather have my own book!" so we got her her new Libro de Mormón to hold up in the picture, and she was so happy.

Right after leaving Julia's, we were leaving the trailer park and had a prompting to stop to visit another friend we were teaching, but instead, we met Eliza! Within a few minutes of meeting her, we were talking about baptism and how she'd like to be baptized! She does, however, speak English and lives in a different area, so we passed her off to the English Elders, but she was able to make it to church on Sunday and she even brought her sister and cousin!

Got a referral from Facebook for a guy named Edy. He put in a self-referral about wanting to come to church. Long story short, we met up for a church tour the next day and put him on date for baptism in the same first lesson. When we asked him how he felt, he said with a big smile, "I'm so excited!"

Dropped our good friend Miguel. He is amazing and such a beloved son of God, and has come so, so far these past couple of weeks, but his time is unfortunately not now. With so many miracles happening, it helped us to realize we shouldn't be convincing people to be baptized.

Doctrine and Covenants 4:4
"For behold the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul;"

The field is white, and the storehouse is being filled. Choose to come and choose to stay because the best is yet to come. I know that to be true! Jesus Christ lives and He is YOUR Savior and MY Savior!
