Week 4 - "Wanna See My Car?"
Hola amigos y familia,
P-day always goes by way too fast.
Friday
We went to the temple! We were able to do an endowment session. It was super powerful to be there surrounded by so many missionaries and closer friends.
We also started FULL SPANISH IMMERSION TODAY!!!!! Now, all of our classes are in Spanish. It's been so hard, but so rewarding. The gift of tongues is so, so real. God knows our needs, abilities, and limitations.
Saturday
Service day! We helped clean one of the common areas in one of the buildings at the MTC. I'm a professional mopper now.
We also learned that some of us have sensitive stomachs, and some are unashamed of it, haha.
Sunday
At the MTC, we do something called "Go and do." It's basically an extra-long personal study period, which might sound crazy, but it's actually one of the most meaningful experiences missionaries have in the MTC. We usually have a topic of focus, or we can study whatever we want and then come together as a district to discuss it. It's so powerful to spend dedicated time studying the gospel and the "questions of the soul" (things that are really meaningful/applicable to you).
My companions and I also got called as STLs!!! (Sister Training Leaders).
Monday
Hna Lamb and I took Hna Park to the medical center. She got super, super sick over the weekend. The Elders gave her a priesthood blessing. It ended up being a bad cold, but the doctor gave her some medicine and told her to take a day and sleep it off. So I stayed in our room with her during our classes while Hna Lamb did splits with the other Hermanas in our district. I may or may not have also taken a nap during one of our breaks... it was epic, haha. Hna Park is officially recovered nowadays, back to her normal self!
Tuesday
Our district sang in the MTC choir at the devotional. The song was called "Hail the day that sees Him rise." It was an Easter song. Highly recommend a listen. Elder Carl B. Cook from the Presidency of the Seventy and his wife spoke to us. It was so powerful! Elder Cook spoke about integrity. We need to be mindful of how we're acting, what we're representing, and how we're treating others at ALL times!
Wednesday
Said goodbye to the other district in our branch and our STLs (Sister Training Leaders). Sad but so excited to see all the good they'll be able to do out in the mission field!
Thursday
My district was getting tired of having the same schedule every day, so we decided to get creative with our study time. We decided to watch the Restoration Movie on lds.org. It is such a powerful visual representation of the story of the restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It was super special to watch it with my district and feel everyone's testimonies. It is so cool to have a visual of a story that is so powerful and so meaningful to me.
Spiritual Thought
This is the link to the Restoration movie (best of all--it's free!). I invite all of you to have a movie night this week either with your families or by yourself, and watch the story of the Restoration, and learn more of the history of the church and feel the hope that can come from Jesus Christ.

Email Subject Explanation
At the end of class on Wednesday, one of our teachers, Hermano Hunter, asked us if we wanted to see his car on our way out. We were stoked because he made it sound like he has a super cool car, so naturally, all of the Elders wanted to see it. We went outside and were waiting for him to come out when all of a sudden, we hear someone's voice from behind us and see Herman Hunter ride up behind us on... an electric scooter. It was actually hilarious because we were NOT expecting to be played like that, haha.
