Week 5 - "I Have Zero Depth Perception"
Area: Provo Missionary Training Center (MTC)
Companions: Hermana Lamb and Hermana Park
Friday
Temple trip again!! We got to do child-to-parent sealings at the Mt. Timpanogos Temple. I was able to take the names of two of my ancestors who were sisters but died as infants. I know that the temple truly is a place of healing and love, on both sides of the veil. (Email me if you have any questions about this! It is so cool and I would love to talk about it with you!)
Saturday
We watched this special musical performance called The Lamb of God. It was a beautiful musical representation of the last week of the Savior's life leading up to His crucifixion and Atonement. It was powerful to hear and see such a meaningful story in the in-person musical sense.
Sunday
EASTER SUNDAY!!! We had three devotionals today. One by Peter M. Johnson from the Quorum of the Seventy. He was so cool. In essence, he talked about HOW to let Christ into your life more fully. Hint: you have to 1. Engage in, live, and learn the doctrine of Christ (which is faith in Christ & His atonement, repentance, baptism, gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.) And 2. Do what Christ would do (specifically, have charity and take the time and love to minister to the ONE--to the individual.)
We also had two musical devotionals. Not to flex or anything, but BYU Vocal Point, BYU Noteworthy, and BYU Men's Chorus were the ones who sang at the devotionals. I definitely didn't freak out at all. It was super special because VP and Noteworthy gave short and simple testimonies in between their songs that were based on one specific word that they chose! Some of which were "pants" and "floss," which were incredible testimonies despite the shocking words haha.
Monday
We had an MTC-wide service project. We cleaned different areas in preparation for general conference. It was honestly a lot of fun and awesome that we got to be a part of such a huge project!
Tuesday
Today was honestly just tons of fun. All I've got to say is that my district is 10/10 and being a missionary is the best!!
Wednesday
Our district got to help the new missionaries who arrived today get settled in!!! It was so fun to meet them and help out! I think we get to help again next week too.
Thursday
Auditions for special musical devotionals we're having this Sunday. Two groups from my district were chosen to perform!!
Spiritual thought:
I invite you to do the same thing BYU Vocal Point & Noteworthy did in the devotional I talked about this week-- This week, think of ONE word that describes your relationship with God or a meaningful part of your testimony. Thinking so deeply and specifically about these kinds of things can be very powerful because it helps us focus on what our hearts truly feel/believe.

(Google Photos album coming soon)
My grandma sent cards to me AND my companions!!! Love you, Grammie!
We got to call our families on Easter!
The classic MTC pic with my comps
Elder Jones and Elder Guthrie being the awesome Elders that they are and taking literally all of our plates for us after dinner (Plus Elder Villamar in the background being as photogenic as ever)
Love you all!!! Have the best week and remember that the Lord loves you so so much!!!
I totally forgot to include the quote of the week!
This week's quote comes from me...
Our district played volleyball together this week; however, every time I went to hit the ball, I'd have perfect form and would be so set up and ready for it, but I would always miss the ball by just a couple of inches. This became funny very quickly because every time this happened, I was fully convinced beforehand that I was in the right spot to hit the ball, and everyone would end up laughing so hard because of how sure I was of being able to hit it. Eventually, this happened so many times that whenever I would hit the ball at all, no matter how wonky it was, my whole district would cheer for me hahaha.
So in conclusion, my volleyball depth perception needs a bit of work
Until next week!! Keep being awesome everyone--
