¡Hola a todos! Esta semana fue SUPER BIEN!! Hubo tantos milagros y vimos la mano de Dios todos los días. Los corazones están cambiando y las personas tienen el Espíritu de Dios ahora más que nunca. Dios ama tanto a Sus hijos y Él es muy consciente de cada uno de nosotros.


Highlights
-Had some fire lessons!! Also had a lot of lessons fall through, but you focus on the wins where you can haha.
-Did a lot of finding work! Gotta feed the funnel (we did lots of knocking and lots of learning how it feels when the spirit leaves the closer you get to certain houses).
-I did my first actually successful door approach in Spanish!! We shared a scripture and the guy was super chill! We later found out that family was previously taught by missionaries, but a scripture never hurts haha.
-Taught Renata how to lead the music for sacrament meeting and gave her her own hymnbook!!! Renata is 10 and got baptized last year! She LOVES music! Her biggest wish is to learn to play piano. During sacrament meeting, she'll literally open to the page in the hymnbook where it shows you how to lead the music and try to lead along with the hymns! So she got to lead the hymns with Hna Tingey on Sunday! She was so excited, it was the cutest thing!
-Shoutout to the Spanish household Google Maps lists from past hermanas haha.
-MY FIRST ZONE CONFERENCE!!! It was so cool! We focused on Joseph Smith, The Book of Mormon, and the concept of having diligence/urgency/obedience as missionaries.
-We might have a couple people on date this week!!! Pray for Miriam & Carlos, and Cristina! Keep praying for José too!
-MARINO!! Long story short, he literally asked to come to church and then actually showed up!!! And he wants to keep coming! He is so ready for the gospel, so please pray for Marino!!
-One of the English sisters' friends got baptized!!!! Yay for Estelle!! Literally so stoked that she was able to make that covenant with God and receive the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost!


Spiritual thought
Alma 2:28
"28 Nevertheless, the Nephites being strengthened by the hand of the Lord, having prayed mightily to him that he would deliver them out of the hands of their enemies, therefore the Lord did hear their cries, and did strengthen them, and the Lamanites and the Amlicites did fall before them."


What do we learn from this? To pray. And to not be afraid to pray MIGHTILY because, no matter the answer, the Lord WILL hear your prayers!! I promise you that every single random or insignificant thing you tell Him in prayer is not random or insignificant to Him at all. He cares about you, He loves you, and He will hear you and strengthen you as you bring your worries and trials to Him.


The Lord loves you so much!!! I love you too!! Si se puede, you can do this!!!!

Week 9 Area: Olive Branch Comp: Hna Tingey Tuesday Had some fire lessons, almost put two people on a date, and had cookie night with the Lequia's! Wednesday Went to district council! We talked about what life would be like without the gospel (hint, it'd be super sad). We talked about how, as missionaries, our line of work is saving souls. A Functional... Ward?

Week 50, Transfer 8 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Anyone who makes it to the end of this email deserves a fist bump in six months. Highlights: First week in Auburn! It is a crazy busy area! I asked my mission president for one thing this transfer—to go somewhere where I could just work. And boy, did I get my wish! Three people just got baptized recently and all got confirmed yesterday! The gift of the Holy Ghost is such a blessing! We made the goal to put seven people on date this transfer. Your prayers for the people in our area and for us would be much appreciated! The ward is so... put together here! Everyone just knows what to do and... does it? I never thought I'd be able to serve in a ward because after the mission split last summer, the only Spanish ward got put into the Sacramento boundaries. Week 52, Transfer 8 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Highlights, Lowlights, and Rollercoasters JOANA HAS A DATE FOR BAPTISM!!! Please keep praying for her; she's going to need some extra strength these next few weeks! Our friend Alex MOVED. She got notice two days in advance. She'll be gone for work training for 14 weeks, BUT she gets one call every Sunday, and since she doesn't have much family, she asked if we could call every week and have lessons over the phone. The missionary heart in me was SOOO HAPPY! She is the elect of the elect. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR ALEX!! Had our first lesson with our friend Valentin!!! He had some crazy good questions. He wanted to know the differences between our church and his church, and we were able to testify so strongly of prophets and apostles, eternal families, life after death, the spirit world, and the three kingdoms.
