Highlights

We actually only had one official lesson this week, but it was an incredible lesson! Miracles happen when the Spirit is present and when people invite Christ into their life!
Our one lesson was actually with José! Keep praying for him, please! Your prayers mean so much. There are miracles happening in José's life right now, and his heart is changing as he's coming closer to Jesus Christ! I wish you all could feel how joyful it is for both us and him to see someone learning so earnestly and genuinely wanting a stronger relationship with God! Some people just need time to build that relationship and trust, and that's okay. Plant the seed and give them time because they are in God's hands!
I had my first exchange!! I led out my area and was with Sister McCombs. I LOVE her! She's the funniest person haha. She's literally such a kind, genuine soul, too. You genuinely want to be a better person whenever you spend any amount of time with her! We had some good impromptu contacts with Esperanza (a friend we're teaching) and the cute little abuelita of another friend we used to teach.
We got to hold the cutest kittens!!!! They were on the porch when we met the abuelita. She said they were five days old, and it was just the best!
Saw Spanish miracles every day. Prayer works, people!!! The gift of tongues is so real.
Bought the most epic signing journal today at Walmart for when transfers roll around (transfers are this Friday!!! AHH!! We find out transfer news on Wednesday!)... see the Google photos if you want to be enlightened with the journal haha.

Spiritual thought
3 Nephi 13:31-33
I've never had one of these moments before, but before my study the other day, I opened the scriptures to this random page before beginning my study, prayed, and when I got back up, the page just so happened to be 3 Nephi 13. The first thing I saw was verse 32. I hadn't been praying for anything specific in that moment, but I had so many unexpressed desires that my heart just yearned for. The amount of comfort this verse gave me was insane. It hit me like a ton of bricks, and I know it was my reminder to involve God in both my good times and my worries.

So how do we do this? By praying to our loving Heavenly Father!

But you guys, that's just it--prayer WORKS. Prayer is so, SO real. Heavenly Father is THERE every time you pray, listening to everything you tell Him. He loves YOU! He knows you and what you stand in need of and yes, even the desires of your heart that you're too scared to express.

Give.
It.
To.
Him.

Every fear.
Every worry.
Every pain.
Every anxious thought.
Every angry moment.
Every frustrated, scared, confused, uncertain, lonely, uncomfortable feeling.
Every happy, fun, joyful, loving, excited, awesome, wonderful experience...

Tell Him about it. Involve God in your story and He will be involved in yours. At the end of the day, literally just get on your knees and tell Him about your day. What you did, what you saw, how good that one sandwich was, about the fun people you met and cute kittens you got to hold, about your plans for the next day, the goals you have and everything else in between.

It will change your life. I promise you that and say this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen!

The Lord loves you so much!!! I love you too!! Si se puede, you can do this!!!!
