I'm Your Biggest Fan!!!!

Week 19, Transfer 2
Area: Corning (Olive Branch)
Comp: Hermana Tate

It's transfer week! Drum roll, please...

I'm staying in Corning for my greenie-breaking transfer with Hermana Tate! So nothing changed, but we have big goals for Corning this transfer and are both stoked to hit the ground running and keep grinding in the coolest area ever! (Except right now... it's been like 115⁰ for the last two weeks, so maybe that's a poor choice of words, haha.)

This week has been insane! We found seven new friends, had some super exciting lessons, and ended up with two of our friends at church! We also had a linger-longer, and I found out that I have a fan club. Her name is Cara, and she's 10. She's coming for your "biggest fan" title, Mom.

We also went to the temple this week on Thursday! We went with the Chico hermanas (Hermana Welton & Hermana Hatfield) and the Loomis elders (Elder McCarty & Elder Hilton). We did an endowment session and then did baptisms! I'm always blown away by how peaceful the temple is. Walking into the celestial room is like stepping onto another planet because there is stillness and peace like none other.

There's a scripture I've been thinking about a lot lately. It comes from Alma 24:12:

"Now, my best beloved brethren, since God hath taken away our stains, and our swords have become bright, then let us stain our swords no more with the blood of our brethren."

There is no better feeling in this entire world than being clean. There is an eternal weight and importance to our decisions. Yes, we will fall short. Yes, life is hard. And yes, we will become stained in this life by the poor choices and weaknesses we face. But! Christ has already atoned for our sins. He's already paid the price. He already has a Tide-To-Go pen with your name on it, ready and waiting for whenever you inevitably need it. (He's also got bleach for those big, nasty stains too.)

Turn to Him. Let Him help you. He will make you bright and take away those stains. Become worthy to feel the peace of the temple. It will change your life and entire perspective and course for eternity after this very moment!

I love you all and hope you have an incredible week. Remember, the Lord loves you, and I love you too! Keep being awesome!

Love,
Hermana Ellis
