"My Frain Is Bried"

Week 17, Transfer 2
Area: Corning (Olive Branch)
Comp: Hermana Tate

Buenas tardes! Short email this week, but some highlights were...

4 people came to English class! It was so fun! They're all super lit and all want to come back next week.

Went to Daisy's Ice Cream for their $1 ice cream on Wednesday. Got animal cracker ice cream, and it was SO GOOD. Hermana Tate got bubblegum... would not recommend.

For those of you following the saga... we had a super lit lesson with Armando this week! Introduced the Book of Mormon and had a sweet couple from the English ward there with us. Shoutout to Brother Mackintosh for leading probably the most spirit-filled lesson I've ever been in. Please keep praying for Armando!

THE ELDERS HAD A FRIEND COME TO CHURCH! LET'S GOOOO!

Found a caterpillar in the garden. I touched it. I hate bugs. It was like 4 inches long.

Did some solid Facebook work. We have a Summer Olympics Facebook challenge going on right now, and I'm just a little behind on some of the goals... but I can testify that God is a God of miracles and there is power in prayer. Like I said, there is power in prayer.

My spiritual thought today is short, but I know that God lives. That truth right there is mind-blowing. We have a Heavenly Father who is watching out for us, who cares about us, and who WANTS to be involved in our lives and send us help when we need it. All we need to do is ask Him for His help through prayer. He lives, He loves us, and He is there for us.

3 Nephi 14 (also Matthew 7 because the scriptures are cool like that):
"7 Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
8 For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh, findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened."

Tengan una buena semana!
With love,
Hermana Ellis
