Week 30, Transfer 4 Area: Yuba City (Tierra Buena Branch) Comp: Hermana Leatherwood Speed-run highlights because I don't have a ton of time: Junior is ON DATE TO BE BAPTIZED! Please pray for him that he can come to church. Went to two zone conferences. Super lit. Social media has its perks. Amazing messages. Our mission president, President Basha, talked about becoming a true disciple of Jesus Christ (aka BEING what you believe) and being ready to be the Lord's hands to be a miracle in someone else's life, among lots of other super cool messages. His wife, Sister Basha, talked about unity—being united as a zone and as a mission—and HOW we can do that. A lot of it was about service, charity, and sharing/using our talents. Super cool. Juan had an incredible experience with prayer. Keep praying for him, please! Went on my first Spanish exchange with Hermana Horton. We grinded and had some amazing lessons! Had dinner with a member whose cats’ names are WD-40 and Carnitas. Made ...

Week 29, Transfer 4 Area: Yuba City (Tierra Buena Branch) Comp: Hermana Leatherwood Hola hola! Thank you for all the birthday wishes! This was a good week, lots of cool things happened! We met Leti at English class and she asked US to be taught more about this church. We had an incredible lesson the next day and gave her a Libro de Mormón. She is SO cool, please pray for her that she'll be able to come to church this week! We also had a lesson with our friend Juan this week! This was our 4th lesson with him. He is so humble, down to earth and so cool! He's living here for work, away from his family back in Mexico. He comes to English class all the time, has come to church, and is just so cool. This last lesson we had we ended up following the council of the general authority who came to our mission last zone conference -- if your friend doesn't do the commitment from the last lesson, do it with them. We invited him to read from the Book of Mormon, but he wasn't able to....

Week 28, Transfer 4 Area: Yuba City (Tierra Buena Branch) Comp: Hermana Leatherwood Highlights & miracles! Hermana Horton (a Hermana we live with) started feeling pretty awful this week and ended up testing positive for covid... Hermana Leatherwood also had some nasty sickness of some other sort going on, so there was a little less proselytizing going on than normal haha. But Hermana Leatherwood was a trooper, and we were able to do a lot of social media work for the mission's page and get some things planned and rolling there, so it was a tender mercy that we had the extra time! Had a FIESTAAA! Our branch put on a multicultural fiesta, and everyone brought their favorite dish from their country. We helped one of our friends make a dish (this barbacoa taco meat, SO GOOD), and she came with her husband and 2 daughters!! Our other friend Juan also pulled up and had a blast. Went to the temple!!!! We were not planning on going the day we did, but it ended up being so cool. We got ...

Week 27, Transfer 4 Area: Yuba City (Tierra Buena Branch) Comp: Hermana Leatherwood Highlights & miracles! CARLOS IS GOING TO GET BAPTIZED! Long, long story short, his whole family was baptized except for him. He lives in Utah but is here for work for a little while. All his friends are members in Utah, he goes to church, he knows the church is true, and he wants to be baptized but has been scared of taking that step for years. Something changed for him this week, and he decided he's going to get baptized NEXT MONTH when he's with his family again. He told us this and proceeded to bear the most tender testimony I think I've ever heard about the truth of this gospel, how families can be together forever, and the peace it brings. Please pray for Carlos as he makes this next step to come closer to Christ! We taught a couple of our friends how to pray this week, and they said their first prayer! (Either their first vocal prayer ever or the first in a long, long time.) It is...
