Highlights

General conference! Beautiful messages from our prophet, apostles, and leaders of the church. Loved the talk from Elder Kearon that this is the Church of Joy! Loved Elder Stevenson's prophecy and counsel that these next ten years will be one of the most unforgettable decades. We need to prepare and be ready to receive and experience whatever comes!
Met a couple at the froyo place by the temple who came up to us asking questions about our church. Had a crazy amazing discussion, gave them a Book of Mormon and some pamphlets, and are planning to meet up again this week! Such cool, genuine people.
Also met another guy who we had a similar conversation with about our beliefs. He wanted a Book of Mormon and said that anything we tell him, he'll need to compare to the Bible to see how it connects and compares. We told him, by all means (that's kind of the whole point of the Book of Mormon being a "companion" to the Bible).
Stuck a picture of Jesus on the wall of our parking garage. That'll keep us safe, right?
Transfer news: I'm staying in Yuba... and so is Hermana Leatherwood, but she's moving to a different area (still covering the same branch though!) and is going to be in a trio with the other two oldest hermanas in the mission. As for my companion... I'll be reunited with one of my MTC comps, Hermana Park! I AM SO EXCITED!
Junior is now on date for February 7th! Making progress from July 10th, haha.
We ate out with members like 4,000 times this week. Lit but also my stomach...
There are so many miracles and blessings every single day! PRAY for miracles and to see the Lord's hand in your life, and then look diligently for them every day. You will find them.

Week 9 Area: Olive Branch Comp: Hna Tingey Tuesday Had some fire lessons, almost put two people on a date, and had cookie night with the Lequia's! Wednesday Went to district council! Week 50, Transfer 8 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Anyone who makes it to the end of this email deserves a fist bump in six months. Highlights: First week in Auburn! It is a crazy busy area! I asked my mission president for one thing this transfer—to go somewhere where I could just work. And boy, did I get my wish! Three people just got baptized recently and all got confirmed yesterday! The gift of the Holy Ghost is such a blessing! We made the goal to put seven people on date this transfer. Your prayers for the people in our area and for us would be much appreciated! The ward is so... put together here! Everyone just knows what to do and... does it? I never thought I'd be able to serve in a ward because after the mission split last summer, the only Spanish ward got put into the Sacramento boundaries. Week 52, Transfer 8 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Highlights, Lowlights, and Rollercoasters JOANA HAS A DATE FOR BAPTISM!!! Please keep praying for her; she's going to need some extra strength these next few weeks! Our friend Alex MOVED. She got notice two days in advance. She'll be gone for work training for 14 weeks, BUT she gets one call every Sunday, and since she doesn't have much family, she asked if we could call every week and have lessons over the phone. The missionary heart in me was SOOO HAPPY! She is the elect of the elect. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR ALEX!! Had our first lesson with our friend Valentin!!! He had some crazy good questions. He wanted to know the differences between our church and his church, and we were able to testify so strongly of prophets and apostles, eternal families, life after death, the spirit world, and the three kingdoms.
