Highlights, lowlights, and rollercoasters

Met a member because we had the wrong address for another member, but she wants her records moved here and to come to church here!! No accidents, man.
Got in my first car crash??? Check that off the "hope I never do that" bucket list. Nothing more than minor scratches on the rear bumper & no injuries to either party, just a nice little love tap from a very fast car behind us. Lowkey was divine intervention on multiple levels though, especially since we were able to comfort and share Christ's love and a prayer with a very new driver.
Joana will not be getting baptized on Saturday unless a miracle happens. She still wants to be baptized so badly though, so please pray for her and her family!!
Ate some fire food this week. @Judd, you better be practicing your BBQ skills.
Met the COOLEST new guy because we're able to knock after 7 PM NOW BECAUSE IT'S STILL LIGHT OUTSIDE!!!! He told us he's been looking to grow closer to Jesus Christ. Post-daylight-savings finding time is gonna go wild this year.

This one comes from my dad while talking to him today:
"Burn your boats [so you HAVE to make it work]."

When you've landed on an unfamiliar shore and are faced with a challenge ahead, turn around and burn your boats first before moving on. Then, move forward, with every ounce of yourself dedicated to the Lord and the fight you're facing. Remember, the Lord is with you as you set out on unfamiliar journeys to conquer unfamiliar things and meet unfamiliar people, but He will give you the strength you need to leave your nets, leave your boats, and go follow Him.

Week 9 Area: Olive Branch Comp: Hna Tingey Tuesday Had some fire lessons, almost put two people on a date, and had cookie night with the Lequia's! Wednesday Went to district council! Week 50, Transfer 8 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Anyone who makes it to the end of this email deserves a fist bump in six months. Highlights: First week in Auburn! It is a crazy busy area! I asked my mission president for one thing this transfer—to go somewhere where I could just work. And boy, did I get my wish! Three people just got baptized recently and all got confirmed yesterday! The gift of the Holy Ghost is such a blessing! We made the goal to put seven people on date this transfer. Your prayers for the people in our area and for us would be much appreciated! The ward is so... put together here! Everyone just knows what to do and... does it? I never thought I'd be able to serve in a ward because after the mission split last summer, the only Spanish ward got put into the Sacramento boundaries. Week 52, Transfer 8 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward) Compañera: Hermana Griffin Highlights, Lowlights, and Rollercoasters JOANA HAS A DATE FOR BAPTISM!!! Please keep praying for her; she's going to need some extra strength these next few weeks! Our friend Alex MOVED. She got notice two days in advance. She'll be gone for work training for 14 weeks, BUT she gets one call every Sunday, and since she doesn't have much family, she asked if we could call every week and have lessons over the phone. The missionary heart in me was SOOO HAPPY! She is the elect of the elect. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR ALEX!! Had our first lesson with our friend Valentin!!! He had some crazy good questions.
