Miracles, Baptisms, And Short On Time Today :)

Highlights!!

Andres got baptized on Saturday!! He's the 8-year-old son of a member family and is so sweet!! We were able to teach him a little bit before his baptism to fill in some gaps where his parents didn't fully know how to. It was a really cool experience!

Isaiah got baptized as well!!!!! He's the 16-year-old son of a part-member family I taught when I was in Yuba City. Long story short, we stopped teaching them regularly and then our area was whitewashed. He eventually saw an ad on Instagram, got in contact with the English elders, and was baptized shortly afterwards this past Saturday!

Saw so many little miracles with being in the right place at the right time. Met a guy named Jose, had a crazy theological discussion with a guy named Ryan, invited a lady named Lilia to English class, found a guy named Art who knew a member in Corning of all places, and the list goes on!

Ran into our friend Karina, who's on date for next Monday and is getting married next Saturday, in Walmart today! She needed help because nobody spoke Spanish, and she saw us walking down the other aisle and called out. We ended up helping her pick out wedding jewelry and ended up finding a new person by talking with the Walmart employee who actually has talked with missionaries before and gave us her full address before leaving, so that was epic!

To all my missionary friends out there, I just want to say you're doing amazing. The Lord is so proud of you; please keep your heads up and remember your worth. Don't listen to the adversary, try your hardest, and know you are loved by God. I heard a quote I loved this week: "Sometimes the butterflies bite and the roses have thorns, but it's always still butterflies and roses."

I would like to also ask each of you to pray for some of our friends this week. Some are getting baptized here soon and need that little extra push of the Spirit!!

Week 59, Transfer 9 Area: Auburn (Auburn 2nd Ward & Spanish group!!!) Compañera: Hermana Griffin This week was INSANE! God is cooking. Talked to EVERYONE and their MOM (literally) this week because it's getting darker later (so we can be outside for longer!!!) and the weather is better so people are spending more time outside. This, some new finding methods, epic referrals from the English missionaries, and LOTS of Heavenly help led us to find 7 new friends to teach this week AND almost the same amount of people who are interested in meeting with us as we have number of people we're currently actively teaching!! Our members here are AMAZING. We had 6 lessons where members participated. Recap Of The Past Few Weeks!

Week 75, Transfer 12 Area: Chico Bidwell Spanish Branch Compañera: Hermana Hinton It's been a while and a lot has happened! Sorry for not sending an email in a while, thanks for your patience! I hope all is well! Let's run it. Highlights!! We have 4 friends on date, all planning to be baptized this transfer!!! They are so cool and so prepared. We've got Karina (the mom of 2 of our new members), doña Julia (Karina's soon-to-be husband's aunt), and Marlina and Mailani, 2 of the daughters of our new member Miguel! Julia gave us these EPIC T-shirts with our faces printed on them haha, and we gave her a baptismal progress chart; we met her in the Ross parking lot to exchange them. It was a few days before she came to church for the first time, and she told us she needed to go buy a dress for Sunday, so we met up before she went in. Naturally, Ross came in clutch and she's been slaying every Sunday since. And she's been participating in Relief Society at church!! ...

Week 79, Transfer 12 Area: Chico Bidwell Spanish Branch Compañera: Hermana Hinton The time has come! 557 days 79 weeks 8 companions 4 áreas ...and too many amazing people and miracles to count later... Family and friends, What a joy this mission has been! To wear my Savior's name on my chest every day has been the biggest blessing I've ever received. I've had amazing companions, incredible mission leaders, and gotten to know the best people ever!
